Darren Karn first met Roger at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto as an MBA student, having returned to school following a stint in the United States as a consulting geologist in environmental remediation.
Darren quickly gravitated toward Roger’s ideas on management, creative problem solving and business strategy. Following his MBA, he worked on a six-month contract to help Roger as a teaching assistant and to provide research support for one of his earlier books, Fixing the Game.
That 6-month contract turned into a close working relationship for over a dozen years. Darren’s work with Roger expanded beyond teaching and research support at Roger’s think tanks in integrative thinking and economic prosperity to executive education and consulting using Roger’s Playing to Win and Integrative Thinking frameworks for business strategy.
Darren loves helping clients and students learn new and more productive ways to think, particularly as it comes to building more coherent and competitive business strategies.
